Fence types we install in New Freedom

Most New Freedom jobs we quote come down to how much privacy you want and how much maintenance you are willing to do. Here is the honest trade-off on each.

Vinyl privacy fence

A common request, and the one that asks the least of you afterwards. Six-foot solid panels give full privacy, they do not need painting or staining, and a hose takes care of them. The trade-off is up-front cost — vinyl asks for more at install and gives it back over the years you never spend maintaining it.

Aluminum and ornamental fence

Where you want the yard enclosed without losing the view — pool surrounds, front boundaries, sloped ground. Aluminum racks to follow a grade rather than stepping down it, which matters on the ridge lots running down toward the state line. It will not rust, and the powder coat does not flake.

Wood fence

Still the best-looking option on the day it goes in, and the cheapest way to get real height and privacy. It needs sealing every few years to stay that way. If you like the look and do not mind the upkeep, wood is the right answer.

Chain link fence

Function over looks — dog runs, property lines, ball containment. It is the least expensive way to enclose a large area and it lasts. Black vinyl-coated chain link disappears into a treeline far better than galvanised, which is worth the small upcharge on a wooded southern York County lot.

Questions New Freedom homeowners ask

The six that decide a job. If yours is not here, call — a real person answers, any hour.

What does a fence cost in the New Freedom area?

It depends on material, length, gates and how much your ground moves — which is why we will not quote a number over the phone and call it a price. We measure on site and give you a written figure, free and with no obligation. If you want a rough range before that, the ballpark estimator above takes about two minutes.

Do you handle the permit and the HOA?

Yes. We handle permits, HOA approvals, drawing submissions and property-line coordination. New Freedom Borough allows four feet in a front yard and six in the side and rear on residential property, and eight in the commercial and industrial districts. As in the boroughs around it, a fence may run up to the lot line but must not sit on it, and nothing may block sight distance at a street intersection or alongside a driveway. New Freedom sits right on the Mason-Dixon line, so a fair number of jobs down here run to the Maryland border — we are licensed on both sides, PA HIC 117820 and MD MHIC 151489, so a job that crosses does not need a second contractor. We deal with whichever office governs your address.

What if my fence gets damaged?

Our 5-Year Impact Guarantee covers accidental impact damage, lawn equipment damage, and falling branches or similar incidents. It does not cover intentional damage or vandalism, severe storms or acts of nature, normal wear and fading, or fire and heat damage.

What if something is wrong with the installation itself?

Our Lifetime Workmanship Warranty covers installation-related defects and workmanship issues for as long as you own your fence — and it is backed by Future Solutions Fence, not a third party. That distinction matters: you come to us, not to a manufacturer’s claims department.

What about the materials themselves?

Manufacturer material warranties vary by product, material and style, and typically cover defects in vinyl, aluminum and ornamental fencing. You receive the appropriate manufacturer warranty at the time of your estimate, and again on installation — so you know what you are covered for before you commit.

How far out from New Freedom do you actually go?

New Freedom is the next stop down I-83 past Shrewsbury, which is fifteen miles from our York showroom at 446 N George Street, so it is inside the area we cover every week. That takes in Shrewsbury Borough and Township, Glen Rock, Railroad, Stewartstown, Cross Roads and Winterstown, along with Springfield, Hopewell, North Hopewell, Codorus and Fawn Townships — and across the line into northern Maryland.
